Powder Brows are an eyebrow shading technique performed with permanent make-up machine using the combination of shading and stippling to achieve a very natural, soft powder, pixel effect.
Combination brows are a combination of two forms of semi-permanent techniques: hairstrokes and shading. hair-strokes are placed with a manual tool or machine around the border of the brow to give the brow a natural look and shading is done to create density/fill in gaps between hair strokes. Most people need some form of shading when they choose to have microblading/nano brows done.
Nano brows are a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo technique that mimics the appearance of natural eyebrow hairs using a machine. This method creates precise, hair-like strokes that blend seamlessly with the natural brow, resulting in a hyper-realistic and soft look. Unlike microblading, which uses a manual blade, nano brows are done with a tattoo machine, making them gentler on the skin and suitable for all skin types, including oily or mature skin.
Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo technique that creates natural-looking eyebrow hair strokes using a manual hand tool with a blade made of tiny needles. This technique is best suited for those with normal to dry skin, as oily skin can cause the strokes to blur over time. Microblading typically lasts between 1–2 years, with touch-ups recommended. Most clients need some form of shading which is why you do not see this option for booking online. Book the combination brow!
Some skin types and life styles require an additional touchup 3-6 months from the 6-12 week touchup appointment. Unfortunately some clients need this additional service as their skin or aftercare did not retain as well as one would like.
For previous J. Sparks Ink Clients ONLY! This appointment is to take place 7+ months since last service date up to 3 years. If after 3 years since last service date you will need to book like a new client, it is very likely you will need a touchup 6-12 weeks after that service date.
The result can range from a sheer wash of color to a more defined, lipstick-like effect, depending on the client’s preference. This procedure can help correct uneven lip tone, add fullness without fillers, and restore color lost due to aging. The healing process typically takes about 7–10 days, with the final results settling in after 4–6 weeks. Lip blushing fades gradually over 1–3 years, making it a great low-maintenance option for those wanting a more polished look without daily makeup.
Every client's needs are unique, so pricing is provided during your complimentary consultation. For areola tattoo restoration after breast reconstruction or mastectomy, I provide a superbill for insurance reimbursement. As an NPI provider, I've helped many clients receive reimbursement through Blue Cross Blue Shield and Medica. Coverage varies by plan.
