Though the journey to her now career took many twists and curves, Jess originally started her career in the beauty industry at the age of 12 when she gave her first speech using her mother’s Mary Kay materials about ‘how to apply eyeshadow’ in the 6th grade. Prior to starting her PMU career she completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Care Management and worked for 7 years in the banking industry, ultimately completing her corporate career as a Mortgage Underwriter. Layoffs in any industry are never easy but Jess believes firmly that everything happens for a reason. That layoff lead her to her PMU career. In her downtime she had been offering wedding and event makeup services when a casual conversation with a makeup colleague led her to discovering Microblading. Jess fell in love immediately with the service and sought out training. She believes you should learn from as many different artists and professionals to be well rounded in the industry. She believes there are no shortcuts, if you want it bad enough you will put in the work and effort to make it happen. Practice, practice and more practice. Now nearly 8 years in she offers a variety of services and continues learn something new each year.
